Consumer Protection: Identity Theft
Wilson Cabrera, criminal investigator with the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA), talks to us about strategies to prevent and remedy abuses to consumers. Cabrera underlines the recent increase of cases dealing with identity theft and other issues particularly affecting Hispanics. Viviana Fernandez, member of the National Down Syndrome Congress visits us to talk about available resources to learn about this condition. Viviana shares with us her experience as mother of a child with Down Syndrome, tells us about the stereotypes and most common missunderstandings. Personal finances: tips for taking care of your money in times of crisis:
Beatriz Juliao Mauersberg, financial education specialist with Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) joins us to explore how to take care or our finances in times of crisis. We also analyze when and how to select an organization that offers credit counseling. Moreover, Beatriz briefs us on the most common challenges that consumers are currently facing.

Consumer protection: Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs:
Criminal investigator Wilson Cabrera, joins us and explain to us what we can so to avoid being victims of abuses. Cabrera also tells how his office helps consumers who have already been victims of crimes such as identity theft and fraud.

Colombianitos Foundation: helping young victims of the internal conflict in Colombia:
Angela Patricia Janiot, anchorwoman of CNN en Español, journalist and co-founder of Colombianitos (www.colombianitos.org/) joins us for a conversation about the assistance that her non-profit organization offers to more than 4,000 children, victims of the internal conflict in Colombia. Moreover, she shares her personal experiences during the formation of a non-profit organization and her perspective on other current issues.

We are also joined by Daniela Casas, from the Emory University Latino Diabetes Education Program for a discussion on this health condition, its impact in Georgia and, in particular, among Latinos.
