Atlanta has high levels of job growth within the construction industry.

There is much data recently showing that the construction industry is on the mend and thriving in our country, and the great state of Georgia.

Metro Atlanta has shown some of the highest levels of job growth within the construction industry from June 2012 - June 2013 as reported by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGCA). The AGCA also reports that Atlanta’s construction employment rose by 91,400 jobs at the end of June, adding more than 4,000 construction jobs over the year span (PRWeb.com). Other areas of growth include Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Pascagoula, Mississippi.

The AGCA also claims that employment in the building trades have grown in 191 metropolitan areas between June 2012-13.

Another research study by ConstructionCrossing shows growth in metro areas of Boston and Houston and the potential for growth in areas such as Florida, Texas, Washington, California and New York.

Harrison Barnes, the CEO of ConstructionCrossing, states, “Construction of homes and office buildings, increasing remodeling projects and the repair and replacement of the nation’s infrastructure are giving impetus to jobs in the construction sector.”
