Network Administration is the highest demand in the Atlanta area for IT jobs, according to the survey.

The 2014 Atlanta IT hiring forecast has been released by Robert Half Technology. One hundred chief information officers were surveyed from the Atlanta area, and the consensus show optimism about IT growth and investments.

"We continue to see many Atlanta businesses investing in IT initiatives," said Cheryl Fulton, Atlanta branch manager of Robert Half Technology. "As local companies grow, we're seeing increased demand for new network engineers and help desk support."

The results of the survey are as follows:

18% of CIOs will be adding more staff to their IT departments.

65% of CIOs plan to hire only for open IT roles

15% of CIOs plan to put IT hiring on hold

3% of CIOs plan to reduce their IT staff
