Lake Foods will locate in the Hart County Industrial Park.

Lake Foods is opening its first location in Hart County and will begin operations in mid-February.

The company, a food processor business, will employ approximately 28 employees with intentions of expanding the business and increasing employment up to 120 employees within five years, according to IndependentMail.com.  

Lake Foods is investing $4 million renovating an existing 62,000 square-foot facility in Hart County's Industrial Park.  The facility will include a processing center, a refrigerated inventory and a main hub for operations.

"The location of Lake Foods operation in our community represents a significant commitment by the company in Hart COunty and we are excited about the job opportunities Lake Foods is helping create for our local area citizens," said Douglas Cleveland, Chairman of the Hart County Industrial Building Authority in a recent statment.
