Daniel Defense will create 120 new jobs with its newest expansion in Black Creek.

Daniel Defense, a small arms manufacturer, will be investing $20 million and expanding its operations in Black Creek. The project will take place over the next five years and will create 120 new jobs, announced Governor Nathan Deal.

Marty Daniel, President and CEO of Daniel Defense, Inc. states, "I am very pleased to announce this expansion of Daniel Defense in Bryan County. We look forward to our future growth while continuing to add jobs and investment in Georgia."

Marty began his company in Savannah in 2000. He eventually built a 38,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Black Creek. In 2012, Daniel Defense added another facility in South Carolina. The company's newest expansion will allow them to employ close to 300 employees. Daniel Defense provides rails for the US Military's Elite, Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense.

"Georgia has a solid reputation for attracting manufacturing companies - big and small - who are looking to increase their presence in the United States, " said GDEcD Commissioner Chris Carr. "With this newest expansion, Daniel Defense will take advantage of our superb logistics infrastructure, a committed community and other pro-business resources that will help them meet increasing demands."
