WEEK 9 BATTLE ROYAL IN REGION 5N AAAA

This weeks web game is going to be a good one. The Pope Greyhounds (6-1,3-1)
travel to the big "D", Dallas, Georgia, to take on the undefeated(7-0,4-0)
Raiders of East Paulding High School.

The Greyhounds are in their fourth year under coach Matt Kemper
who is building a winner in Marietta. The Folks in the land of the
Big Chicken have reason to be proud of his 23-15 record so far.QB Holland Frost
has been red hot running the option out of the shot gun formation. He has
a favorite target in WR Myles Everett. Coach Kemper told me though, that
this game is going to be a challenge. A big challenge, and a big test for his team.

The Raiders of East Paulding are loaded. Offensively the Raiders are
a scoring jauggernaut putting up totals of 27-49-51-34-63-31- and 63.
No if thats not enough, lets talk defense. The Raiders have given up
just 29 points in 7 games. Thats an average of 4.1 points a game.
And lets toss in the fact that the Raiders defensive eleven have
shut out four teams this year.

Game time is 7:30 with pregame at 7pm, on www.gpb.org/sports.

On the TV side this week we have another great game
as undefeated Stephenson takes on once beaten East Coweta.
The Indians perfect season ending last week with a 31-21 loss to Westlake.
They will try to bounce back against coach Ron Gartrell's very talented
crew of Jaguars.

And if you missed last Fridays game, you missed another great game.
Flowery Branch jumped out to a 21-0 lead over Heritage of Conyers only
to see the Patriots score twice in the fourth quarter and have a shot
at victory on the final play of the game. Its this exciting, never give
up, play your hearts out attitude that makes high school football so great.

I'll see you Friday night from Hallford Stadium with the Stephenson-East Coweta
game. Don't miss it.
