The 9-1 North Gwinnett Bulldogs head into the GHSA postseason on a roll. Bob Sphire's bunch have reeled off 9 straight wins heading into Friday's opening round matchup against the 5-5 Archer Tigers. Archer opened in 2009 and is the first Gwinnett County institution to make it to the playoffs in its third year in the Georgia High School Association's history in the highest class at the time. The Bulldogs won their third straight Region 7-5A title with a 28-nil thumping of Peachtree Ridge last Friday on the GREAT GPB. North Gwinnett's senior tailback Joe Jones ran for 134 yards and scored 2TDS. His backfield mate junior Donnie Miles ran 129 yards and scored once. The Jones/Miles tandem along with QB Scotty Hosch are going to be force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Jones will take his talents to Amherst, Mass and the University of Massachusetts Minutemen next year.
