The event takes place March 7, 2013 from 1 p.m .- 4 p.m. Call 770-387-3849 to schedule your group.

Home school students are invited to enjoy an activity packed afternoon. Make discoveries about the sculpture process and the sculpture of artist Dave McGary. Participate in gallery programs and art projects and enjoy special entertainment in the Booth Theatre.

Schedule of Activities

Native Expressions: Dave McGary's Bronze Realism
Enjoy a scavenger hunt and discover interesting facts about the artist and his sculptures.
Location: 2nd Floor
Times: 1:00 - 4:00

Native American Object Identification Station:
See a variety of Native American objects and discuss what they were made from and how they were used.
Location: 2nd Floor Sculpture Court
Times 1:00 - 4:00

Theatre Entertainment:
Jim Dunham: Native American Program
Time: 2:00 pm
Movie: Maria, Indian Pottery of San Ildefonso
Time: 3:00 pm

Art Projects:
Spoon Sculpture Doll and Indian Headdress
Location: Main floor sculpture court
Times: 1:00 - 3:30 pm

Sculpture Demonstration:
Watch sculptor Richard Harrison as he works on a sculpture. Ask questions of the artist, learn what an armature is, and see a variety of tools and molds used by the artist.
Location: 2nd Floor
Times: 1:00 - 4:00

All volunteers receive training, free parking and a catered meal provided by Carole Parks Catering.
