Spring has almost sprung! The flowers are blooming. The days are getting longer. It’s time to get outside and see what nature has to offer. Hiking is a popular sport that exposes kids to nature and keeps them healthy. Georgia’s state parks are the perfect place to see nature up close and personal. Visit http://gastateparks.org/ for more information.

Moms and Dads, while on your family hike, get the video camera ready and make a recording of your activities, whether hiking around Cloudland Canyon or exploring the beautiful waterfalls at Amicaloa Falls. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and enter the Georgia Outdoors Earth Day Video Contest and display Georgia’s spectacular beauty. For more information visit the Georgia Outdoors website, http://www.gpb.org/georgia-outdoors.
