It has been said that nine out of ten of us couldn't start a conversation with out the weather. Weather affects all of our lives – especially if you like to spend time in the great outdoors! Join Georgia Outdoors as we explore both the good and bad weather conditions that shape our environment.

Weather forecasts are available on television, radio, and the internet 24 hours a day. In the first part of this program we'll explore how that information gets from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City to you. When that forecast is of severe weather this news is especially important.

In the second half of this program we'll learn more about the varying types of severe weather that Georgia experiences including hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms, and yes, even earthquakes. We'll discover not only what makes these conditions arise but also witness the devestating aftermath of some of Georgia's most historical severe weather events.

Finally, we'll explore what it takes to stay safe in severe weather conditions.
