The University of Georgia hit an all-time high of nearly 35,000 students this year.

U.G.A. keeps upping the milestone. Last fall, its enrollment topped 34,000 for the first time.

The largest student body in U.G.A. history is split among five campuses statewide: the main campus in Athens, as well as branches in Buckhead, Griffin, Gwinnett County, and Tifton.

The Faculty of Engineering had the biggest increase in students -- its enrollment nearly tripled from last year. Fall semester marked the first time that freshmen were accepted into the engineering program.

The College of Public Health also saw a significant boost – its enrollment went up 50 percent.

In addition, more students signed up to major in ecology, forestry, and agriculture.
