The Georgia State Patrol put out its annual accident estimates for this Thanksgiving holiday.

Officials predict about 3,500 traffic crashes with 1,400 injuries and 16 deaths.

All this could occur within a 102-hour time-frame on Georgia's highways.

The Thanksgiving travel period officially begins at 6 p.m. and goes through Sunday.

Officials say Thanksgiving is the most heavily traveled holiday of the year.
