According to the Pew Forum On Religion and Public Life, Georgia has the 9th most religious population in the country.

The study used information from over 35,000 interviews to measure the importance of religion in people’s lives. It also measured how often people prayed and attended worship services, and whether or not they believed in God. Georgia came in 8th for prayer and belief in God but fell to 14th in worship attendance.

Of the top 10 most religious states, Oklahoma was the only one outside of the South East.
