A committee created to discuss possible immigration legislation for Georgia is set to hold its first meeting.

Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle announced the creation of the Special Joint Committee on Immigration Reform last month.

The committee, made up of 14 Republican lawmakers, is set to meet for the first time Thursday morning.  Its goal is to work to draft legislation that will help stop the flow of illegal immigration into Georgia.
