Wednesay is one of the busiest travel days at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International airport. With 1.7 million travelers expected this week it is still the busiest airport in the world.

Spokesman John Kennedy says all 32 security check points will be fully staffed.

“Even at the most congested times of the day we don’t anticipate the lines for security check points to be any greater than 20 minutes. Most of the time they’ll be 10 minutes or less.”

Officials do not expect any slow downs due to a possible pat down protests.

Meanwhile Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss this week sent a letter to the TSA seeking clarification about body scanners and pat downs used on Children under 12. They’re supposed to be mostly exempt, but Chambliss says he’s heard complaints from families that their children were subject to the process.
