Governor-elect Nathan Deal Wednesday continued the process of filling out his incoming staff.

Erin Hames has been tapped as deputy chief of staff for policy. During her time as a student at Georgia State University’s School of Law, Hames worked in Governor Sonny Perdue’s office, and later served as Perdue’s education policy advisor and later as policy director. She also had a role in the state’s implementation of Georgia’s Race To The Top education plan.

Deal also named Atlanta attorney Todd Markle as his executive counsel.

In other moves, the incoming governor also confirmed Gena Evans will continue in her post as executive director of the State Road and Tollway Authority.
