Macon's annual Cherry Blossom Festival has opened for a 10-day run that features music and a lion and tiger show.

The popular festival opened Friday, with country singer Tanya Tucker as the featured performer.

A golf tournament and strongman competition are among the events scheduled Saturday.

The Big Cat Encounter, featuring lions and tigers, began Friday and continues through the week.

A fashion show and a Frisbee contest for dogs will be held during the week.
