Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich traveled to Georgia to drum up support from his campaign. Gingrich was among friends at the State Republican Convention in Macon on Frday night. The Former Congressman and House Speaker served ten terms in office while living in the Peach State.

Gingrich talked about taxes, the budget and the Constitution. He also touched on foreign policy in the wake of the U.S. discovery of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan.

“I don’t know about the rest of you but when I learned that after paying 20-billion dollars since 9-11 they had been housing him…in Pakistan…for the last 9 ½ years…I was trying to figure out what ally meant.”

Long-shot GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is scheduled to address the group today.
