Governor Nathan Deal has postponed Georgia’s new license plate design, and will reopen online voting on Monday.

State officials discovered that the designs Georgians were voting on at the Department of Revenue website were misleading.

The three tags read “In God We Trust” where the county sticker usually sits.

But the actual plate would not include the phrase.

Instead, people could purchase an “In God We Trust” sticker to put on their plate instead of the county sticker.

Voters will spend the next three weeks choosing between eight design options that don’t include “In God We Trust.”
