Authorities in an eastern Georgia sheriff's office have announced they've made their 16th child porn arrest since June.

Effingham County sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor said police recently arrested a 55-year-old Port Wentworth man at his home on child porn charges.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The task force was created by the U.S. Department of Justice and is supervised at the state level by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Earlier this month, sheriff's officials in Effingham County arrested a 45-year-old Arizona man who flew from Phoenix to Atlanta, then drove over 200 miles to meet with a 14-year-old girl he chatted with online.

Police say the man was actually chatting with an undercover officer, and was arrested when he arrived.
