Judges have selected 25 products from around Georgia to compete in the final round of the Flavor of Georgia Contest.

The final judging for the Flavor of Georgia Food Product Contest is set for March 11 and 12 at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot. The 25 finalists were chosen from a field of more than 100 products in the contest's eight categories.

The categories are: dairy; snacks; confections; jams and jellies; sauces; barbecue and hot sauces; meat and seafood; and other.

The contest gives food businesses opportunities to highlight their products and get feedback from a panel of food industry professionals.

The contest has been organized by the University of Georgia's Center for Agribusiness and Environmental Sciences within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences since 2007.
