The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is offering a program for women looking to learn more about hunting, fishing and boating.

Officials said Tuesday that the program, titled "Becoming an Outdoors-Woman" is a nonprofit workshop being offered by the department's Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center.

Officials say casual classes are open to women of all ages and fitness levels and will focus on everything from shooting clays to birding.

Organizers say the workshop is scheduled for Nov. 8-10 at the Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center in Mansfield, which is about 50 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.

Organizers say no experience is necessary and workshops begin and end with lunch on Friday and Sunday. Officials say participants can choose from more than 25 classes during the workshop.
