University of Georgia officials say Laura Crawley has been named the new director of the University of Georgia's Gwinnett campus.

Crawley has served as director of the executive MBA program in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University since 2009. She will succeed Ruth Bettandorff, who retired in September.

Officials say Crawley will coordinate academic programs and work with UGA schools and colleges to maintain and develop graduate-degree programs for the Gwinnett campus.

The campus also houses the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and the Small Business Development Center, which offer noncredit courses for professional development.

Crawley starts November 1 and will report to Laura Jolly, Vice President for Instruction, who oversees UGA programs on UGA's extended campuses.
