State powers Cedar Grove and Westlake will kick off a new season of Football Fridays in Georgia..

There's a new No. 1 team in Class 2A. Fitzgerald, which finished second 2022, climbed into the top spot of the GPB Rankings this week. 

It was a meaningful first week for a lot of coaches around the Georgia, but none more than Camden County's Jeff Herron, who won his 300th career game. 

The defending state champions cast a heavy shadow on the GPB Sports preseason football rankings.
