Georgians are using the new national mental health crisis line 988. 

According to the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in the first 45 days, 476 calls resulted in rescues of people whose lives were believed to be in danger.

After 23 years, Amy Bryant, women's tennis coach at Emory University in Atlanta, is retiring.  Bryant is the first woman in NCAA history to win the national team championship as a coach and a player.

Black mental health advocates say Black families cannot depend on police to protect and help their mentally ill loved ones. 988 is the best hope to save Black lives.

In June, there was just one confirmed case of monkeypox in Georgia. Now the state is seeing well over 700 cases.
