March is Women's History Month! It's a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the incredible contributions women have made throughout history. The earliest reported Women's Day event, called "National Woman's Day," was held on February 28, 1909, in New York City. Fast forward to 1981, Congress established National Women's History Week which was celebrated during the second week of March. Recognizing the importance of honoring women's achievements, Congress later expanded it to a full month in 1987.

Let's take a moment to honor the remarkable women who have shaped our world! Here are some ways to celebrate and learn about famous women in history with your favorite PBS KIDS shows including "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum," "Molly of Denali," and more!
