At an awards ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia, Georgia Public Broadcasting's education division took home a 2024 Southeast Emmy Award in the Informational/Instructional - Long Form category for its Georgia Pollinators Live Exploration program.

Georgia Pollinators Live Exploration, a live educational program designed for kids in grades 3-8, explores the importance of pollinators and how they impact our daily lives. This program was developed in collaboration with the University of Georgia, a leader in pollinator research.

During the live show, students were able to interact with pollinator experts, got to virtually explore urban and rural gardens, and participated in trivia questions.

Ashley Mengwasser (Host and Executive Producer), Mary Anne Lane (Writer and Producer), Lex Hanson (Director of Photography), and Tom Greer (Editor) were listed on the winning production.

This is the second Emmy win for GPB's Live Exploration series. Georgia Peanuts Live Exploration took home an award in the same category in 2022. Explore all previous Live Explorations at gpb.org/live-exploration
