We have a disgusting report today filed by another babysitter Jaci:
I had the distinct pleasure of de-lousing my charge, Annie. She returned recently from a week at overnight camp in Toccoa, Georgia and with her came a large tick, firmly embedded in her scalp. I jumped on the internet – went to the CDC site, http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_tickremoval.htm and gathered the extraction tools. Some tweezers and a pack of matches. I’d heard you have to burn the tick after you remove it. Here are some pictures showing the extraction – yuck!
