Recycle! Renew! Reuse! April 22 is Earth Day, a day to raise awareness on environmental issues in our communities. The Earth Day Network (EDN) is an organization that works to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. EDN’s “Earth Day 2011” will be organized around A Billion Acts of Green campaign – the largest environmental service campaign in the world – is steadily building commitments by individuals, corporations, and governments in honor of Earth Day. In each episode, Sid and his friends discuss environmental issues and explore interesting animal habitats.

Be a part of the solution and get the entire family involved. Did you know more than 12 million crayons are made each year in the United States? These crayons eventually end up in landfills. Crayons are made of petroleum based wax and it takes many years for them to decompose in our landfills. Let’s make our contribution by recycling crayons in our neighborhoods.
