Union County, Georgia is about to have an influx of investment thanks to a recent announcement by Gov. Nathan Deal’s office.

Advanced Digital Cable Inc. (ADC), a leading manufacturer of electronic and communication wire and cable, will create 65 jobs and invest $15 million in a Union County facility expansion. The new jobs will include positions in manufacturing and operations.

“This expansion will enable ADC to better serve our customer base by giving us the capacity to increase the volume of our current product lines made in Blairsville,” said Steve Payne, president of ADC. “ADC expects to add 65 employees with this expansion.”

Georgia has been named the No. 1 state for business by Site Selector Magazine four years in a row, while CNBC named Georgia the No. 2 state for business in the U.S. this month.  

While it will take some time before the 65 positions are posted, there are open positions available right now.

Industrial Systems Tech

o   The Applicant will need a strong understanding of PLC Programming as well as AC and DC motors and controls, plus a general understanding of industrial power, mechanics and safety. The applicant must also have excellent computer literacy to use not only the automation software but our office software systems as well ( ERP, email, word, excel).

o   Good cooperation and communication are a requirement. Any machining, fabrication, or welding skills would be considered a bonus.

Inside Sales Associate

o   We are looking for a candidate that is highly motivated, requires minimal guidance and stays on assignments to see them to a timely accurate completion. The candidate needs to have the ability to dramatically shorten the learning curve and able to quickly gain the knowledge of all aspects of the products, sales channels, and customers.

o   We require that the candidate posses excellent communication skills and have the ability to cooperate and work in a team environment. The candidate must possess excellent computer skills and be fluent in Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
