This weeks web game is at Grady Stadium. If you have not been to Grady
Stadium lately its worth the trip as its been re-furbished and looks fantastic.

The grey knights are coming off an 11-2 season, and as often happens after
an 11-2 season alot of talent has been lost to graduation. Grady returns
just one starter on offense and five on defense.

John Law leads the way at fullback with wide receiver Darren Dowdell
also a key player. The grey knights beat McNair High School in the opener
31-6. Grady ran back not one but two fumbles for touchdowns so this is
a very opportunistic bunch.

Blessed Trinity meanwhile is playing its third game of the season
already. The Titans lost to Buford 42-0 in the opener and thats no
disgrace. Buford is loaded, ranked number one and going for a record
setting 5th straight state title.

The Titans are led by Spencer McManes at QB who threw for 222 yards
last time out in a win over Benedictine, and Jordan Denson led the
ground game grinding out 143 yards rushing.

Blessed Trinity is coached by Tim McFarlin who knows a little about
winning championships. He led Roswell to the state title back in
2006.

Speaking of Roswell, thats where GPB televised its first Football
Fridays in Georgia game. Collins Hill rallied in the second half
to beat the Hornets 24-21. It was an exciting game that went right
down to the wire.

This week we are at Chattahoochee High School where the Cougars will
kick off defense of their 4 AAAA title with a region game against
the Longhorns of Lambert.

Jon Nelson is going to have a terrific report on an Atlanta Falcon
who played his high school football at Parkview, who is doing
a very nice thing for the Locust Grove football team, a team that is coping with the
loss of a teammate.

So tune in at 7:51 on GPB for Chattahoochee and Lambert and on the web
at 5:30 for Blessed Trinity at Grady. And Enjoy.

FOOTBALL IS BACK!
