Back to last Friday night the Kell Longhorns pulled the shockers of all shockers defeating and ousting Marist 30-7 from the opening round of the playoffs. The Longhorns seized a 23-to nothing lead and never looked back. Kell's victory denied Marist's Alan Chadwick his 300th career coaching win and ended the War Eagles 28 game consecutive home playoff game winning streak in Hughes Spaulding Stadium.
It was a huge night for the Longhorns tailback Jordan Chambers, quarterback Clay Dodson, wide receivers Devon Williams, and Hunter Marshall. This week the 9-2 Longhorns travel to Henry County to face the Wildcats of Lovejoy.
What a job Head Coach Derek Cook and his staff have done. Cook is now 35-11 in his four year run at Kell after leaving South Cobb. Both Chambers and Dodson joined me on GPB Sports Blog to talk about the Longhorns win.
