Shakeup At The Top In Latest Hoops Polls

Just because school is out for holiday break, that doesn’t mean high school basketball action is taking any sort of a breather. Quite the contrary as local basketball powers are hitting the road to face some of the nation’s best in the upcoming weeks. The Miller Grove boys will take on the No. 1 team in ESPN’s latest poll just after the New Year while the Buford girls have at least one more game against one of the top teams in the country in Phoenix later this week. Over the weekend, Shiloh took down Wheeler and thus the Generals moved into the top spot of the boys AAAAA poll after Milton had to forfeit three victories. In the girls Class AAAA poll, Fayette County fell from the top spot to No. 4 and Chamblee is the new No. 1.
