The Score 44 is a fluid list that aims to honor the best forty-four seniors in Georgia high school football on a week-to-week basis. These players are some of the most highly-recruited players in the state as well as some of the best players that may not get to play at the next level. A player can play his way onto the list with an outstanding performance, and if a player is injured, suspended or failing to live up to expectations, other players can take his spot on the list. If a player did not make list this week, he has plenty of time to play his way onto the list by the end of the year. The players are also not in any particular order. After the season, we will put the players in order in the Score Final 50.

In the latest Score 44 list, Calhoun’s Taylor Lamb cracks the list as does Westminster kicker Harrison Butker. All Lamb has done this year is lead Calhoun to a 2-0 start by helping the offense post 97 points as the Yellow Jackets defend their Class AA crown. Lamb has thrown four touchdowns thus far and has passed for 525 yards. Meanwhile, Butker booted through three field goals in last week’s 15-12 win over Laney, including one from 49 yards and one from 52. The future Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket also averaged 45.5 yards on his punts and put two punts inside the five-yard line. On the flip side, Isaac Rochell did not play in ELCA’s victory last week and could miss more time with what is believed to be a broken hand. Jay Ellison has not had the impact on the Harris County defensive line that previous Hamilton products have had as Harris County is off to an 0-2 start while giving up 36 points per game.
