In what could be viewed as a controversial move, Kennesaw Mountain remains No. 1 in the latest Class AAAAAA poll despite losing to Lassiter, the new No. 2 in Class AAAAAA. The Mustangs responded to falling to the Trojans by rattling off a pair of blowout wins against North Cobb and Marietta. Archer defeated No. 7 Parkview while No. 5 Peachtree Ridge defeated No. 6 Mill Creek 2-0.

In Class AAAA, West Laurens knocked off a talented Veterans squad while No. 7 LaGrange beat Columbus this week. Columbus fell to No. 9 following the loss.

Class AAA No. 8 Southeast Bulloch split with No. 10 Pierce County, enabling the Bears to move into the Class AAA rankings. Franklin County and Tattnall County moved up in the rankings as Rockmart fell from the poll.

Wesleyan stayed atop the Class AA poll after impressive wins against No. 4 Bacon County and Class A No. 10 Calvary Day. Wesleyan topped Bacon County 9-1 before besting Calvary Day 10-8. Union County beat Class AAA No. 5 Dawson County earlier this week. Bremen and McIntosh County Academy are new to the Class AA poll.

In Class A, Seminole County knocked off No. 5 Miller County to move to No. 4 in the poll. Meanwhile, Telfair County scored a pair of wins over the weekend to move to No. 8.
