Running back Trenton Jones ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns and Dacula forced five turnovers in a 23-0 in over Lanier that secured the third straight Region 8-6A title for the Falcons. 

Dacula (7-2, 4-0) got two interceptions from Jaiey Khan and one each from Tyler Lawary and Chris Smith. Smith also recovered a fumble and the defense posted its second shutout of the season. 

Dacula has never before won three consecutive region championships. 

“It means a lot to our community and this program,” Smith said. “Our defense played great. We shot ourselves a lot in the foot with penalties. I thank God for giving us the opportunity and the coaches had a great game plan and we executed it.”
