Zyquan Morton scored 19 points and helped Therrell win the school’s first basketball title, a 51-49 win over Vidalia in the Class 2A boys final.

Morton was 5-for-8 from the field, three of them 3-pointers, for No. 4-ranked Therrell (25-6). Robbie Armbrester and Roman Son each scored 10 and Son added five assists.
Vidalia (27-6) was led by Toriun Mull with 14 points. Anthony Jones and Mark Wardlaw both scored 10.
Wardlaw hit a 3-pointer with 4.8 seconds left to draw the Indians to within a point. After Therrell called timeout, Vidalia stole the inbounds pass, but lost the ball in a scramble and Therrell kept control. Therrell’s Cameron Fortson made a free throw with 0.3 seconds left and the game ended before Vidalia could get off a last shot.
