Da’Marcus Johnson made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give No. 1 Tri-Cities a 46-43 win over No. 6 Tucker in the Class 6A boys championship game and give the school its first state basketball title.

The game was tied 43-43 after Tucker’s Nick Watson made two free throws with 6.9 seconds left.
Tri-Cities quickly inbounded the ball and got it to Johnson, who squared up and swished the trey from well outside the arc, setting off a wild celebration on the court.
Tri-Cities (26-6) was led by Johnson with 13 points, Peyton Daniels with 12 and Titus Hunter with 11.
Tucker (28-5) got 14 points from Jermontae Hill, who fouled out with 4:35 remaining and Tucker ahead by six points. David Gideon added nine points and nine rebounds.
