GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia is proud to bring you this week’s Region 5-7A battle between unbeaten Cherokee and Roswell.

Visiting Cherokee (6-0, 1-0) is coming of a 41-7 win over Woodstock on Friday. Quarterback A.J. Swann led the Warriors to the big victory over their county rival. Cherokee, coached by Josh Shaw, is No. 7 in the GPB Rankings.

Roswell (5-0, 1-0) survived a scare from winless Etowah before coming away with a 21-14 win on Friday. Roswell is not in the GPB top 10, but is ranked No. 7 by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Hornets are coached by Chris Prewitt.

Roswell leads the series 17-3, but Cherokee ended a five-game drought by beating the Hornets 21-14 in 2019.
