This week the GPB Football Fridays in Georgia broadcast features two of the top-ranked teams in Class 7A – No. 2 Colquitt County at No. 3 Norcross.

Colquitt County (9-0) is the champion of Region 1. Norcross (12-0) is the champion of Region 7. The site of the game was determined by the GSGA’s universal coin flip.

Colquitt County, coached by Justin Rogers, defeated Brookwood 49-3 in the first round and Walton 35-12 in the second round.

Norcross, coached by Keith Maloof, defeated South Forsyth 47-20 in the first round and Roswell 40-20 in the second round.

Both teams feature outstanding quarterbacks. Norcross junior Mason Kaplan has thrown for 2,028 yards and 25 touchdowns. Colquitt County's Zane Touchton stepped in when starter Xavier Williams was injured against rival Lowndes and has thrown for 500-plus yards. 

This will be the third meeting between the two teams, both in the semifinals of the playoffs. Norcross won 14-9 in 2013 and 41-27 in 2012.
