Cedric Taylor hit a pair of free throws with 13.2 seconds left to lift Drew Charter to a 51-50 win over Warren County to win the Class A Public championship on Wednesday at the Macon Coliseum.

Taylor finished with 13 points and seven rebounds and his two dramatic free throws helped the Eagles win their first basketball championship. Drew came back from a six-point fourth-quarter deficit to win its 29th straight game.

Drew (31-1) was led by Cam Johnson with 17 points and four rebounds. Kenyatta Bennett and Bryant Triplett each scored eight.

Warren County (25-4) got 15 points and nine rebounds from Ken’vonte Brinkley and 14 points and seven rebounds from Lorenzo Johnson. Ra’quan Myers added nine points and six rebounds.
