Class 2A Boys: Westside-Augusta 64, Butler 55

Jalexs Ewing scored 16 points and eight rebounds and sparked a second-half rally with a big dunk to lead Westside-Augusta to a 64-55 win in the Class 2A boys championship game Thursday at the Macon Coliseum.
Amauri Tillman added 14 points and five rebounds and hit a 3-point basket that put the Patriots ahead to stay in the third quarter. Khalon Hudson added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Westside (28-3) finished the season with an 11-game winning streak.

Butler (22-7) got 12 points from Gemaurean Belton, 11 points and seven rebounds from Elijah Martinez and 10 points and four rebounds from Chance Finklin.
The two Augusta-area teams play in the same league. Butler won the two regular-season games, but Westside prevailed in the region championship game and beat their rival for the first time since 2018.
