Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of September 12

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. Stats and accomplishments must be verifiable. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Recruiting 2022 Show Fridays at 7 pm on GPB.
Here are our nominees for the week of September 12, 2022:
Marek Briley, North Gwinnett, WR, SR
Briley is a 6’3” 205 LBS senior wide receiver at North Gwinnett High School. His senior stats so far this season are: 15 catches, 407 Yards and four TD’s in the first two games + a preseason game against Mill Creek. Briley’s Junior stats were: 33 catches, 575 Yards and five TD’s. He has a 3.5 GPA. Outside of football, Briley plays basketball, enjoys weightlifting, golf, and spending time with his teammates off the field.

Jeremy Hecklinski, Walton, QB, JR
Hecklinski is a 6’0 175 LBS junior quarterback at Walton High School. He was 10 for 10 for 355 yards with three TD’s against Pope while only playing the first half and the first two minutes of the 3rd quarter. Hecklinksi has thrown for 998 yards and 10 TD’s on 44 completions out of 66 attempts in the first three games this season. This included four TD’s and over 400 yards against a Mill Creek secondary led by Alabama commit Caleb Downs. Hecklinksi has offers from Central Florida, Georgia Southern, and Eastern Kentucky so far but wants a lot more attention.

Jayden Parker, Peach County, FS, SR
Parker is a 6’0 senior free safety at Peach County High School. In this past Friday’s game, he had three interceptions, a pick 6 to the house, for PBUs and four solo tackles. Parker delivered this performance while locking down a Power 5 recruit, Jones County wide receiver Zion Ragins. Parker doesn’t have any power 5-D1 offers. Outside of football, he works at the community grocery store as bag boy and helping senior citizens to their cars.

Jackson Banks, Coffee, DL, SR
Banks is a 6’1 265 senior versatile defensive lineman at Coffee High School. He currently has one offer D1-FCS offer from Presbyterian. Banks has a 3.87 GPA and 1000 SAT score. Banks' career stats include: 11 solo tackles, 25 total tackles, seven quarterback hurries, and one pass deflected.

Jack Kantner, Fannin County, P/K, SR
Kanter is a 5’11 160 LBS senior punter and kicker at Fannin County High School. He grew up playing soccer all of his life until he found out his high school football team needed a kicker. Kantner didn’t get serious about the sport until after he attended a Khol’s kicking camp, where he was rated as a 4.5 star kicker and ended up getting more serious camp invitations. Kantner says he is more than just a kicker or punter, in his last game he completed 5/5 Pats, a 40 yard field goal, two tackles preventing a touchdown, one onside kick - recovering one himself, a fake punt, rushed for 28 yards for a first down, and two punts over 50 yards that pinned the other team within the 5 yard line. Some of his other stats include: his longest field goal is 42 yards, he made 95 PAT’s out of 102 attempts and had 46 total kickoffs.

Malachi Hosley, Northside-Columbus, RB, SR
Hosley is a 5’10 190 LBS senior running back at Northside High School. He has rushed for a career total of 2,833 yards, with an average of 7.8 yards, he has had 361 carries, 36 rushing TD’s and 38 total TD’s. Outside of football, he is a point guard on the basketball team and runs track & field where he has a 4.5 40-yard dash time. Hosley has a 3.5 GPA.

Kyhair Spain, Parkview, RB, JR
Spain is a 5’8 195 LBS Junior running back that had a monster game on GPB rushing for 192 yards on 26 carries scoring on a 24-yard TD run while also recording 49 receiving yards earning Georgia Cotton Commission Player of the Game honors. Spain has no offers although he has drawn interest from Minnesota and Air Force. Spain has now rushed for 508 yards in just 3 games this season ranking Top 10 in 7A and has 1,255 career rushing yards with 14 all-time TD.

Elijah Morgan, Columbia, QB, SR
Morgan is a 5’11 160 LBS senior quarterback at Columbia High School. He is a third year starter, that helped lead his team to their first playoff win since 1997. The Eagles had a 3-0 start to the season for the first time since 2005, before losing to Cartersville this past Friday. Morgan is a well rounded athlete, he plays basketball, runs track, where he went to the State Championships this year. Outside of sports, he has plays many instruments and learned to read music at the age of 5.
