First place in Region 2-7A will be on the line when Carrollton and Westlake square off in GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia.

Carrollton (8-0, 2-0) is coming off a 42-12 win over Pebblebrook and would clinch the region championship with a win. The Trojans, under second-year coach Joey King, are playing their first season in Class 7A.

Westlake (5-2, 1-0) did not play last week. The Lions, under coach Rico Zackery, have won four straight and have lost only to Class 3A No. 1 Cedar Grove and Class 7A power North Cobb.

Carrollton leads the series 3-0 and won the last meeting 37-32 in the 2021 Class 6A quarterfinals.

The Web Game of the Week features Denmark at Lambert in a key game in Region 6-7A. Lambert (7-0, 2-0) defeated West Forsyth 20-3 last week. Denmark (5-2, 1-1) was defeated by South Forsyth 1003 last week. Denmark has won the only two meetings between the two teams.
