Castle is the No. 1 shooting guard in the country and No. 2 overall player in the state, according to the On3 Recruiting Consensus.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound senior has led the Rams to fourth place in the largest classification with a 17-9 overall record and just two losses in region play, while averaging over 22 points per game and more than 6 assists and 7 rebounds.

Castle will surely be missed in Newton County when he heads to the University of Connecticut to play for the Huskies next season. The city of Covington declared Aug. 15, 2022 “Stephon Castle Day.”
