GPB kicks off another season of Football Fridays in Georgia with a non-region showdown when Class 3A No. 1 travels to play Class 7A No. 7 Westlake. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

Cedar Grove (1-1) is coming into the game after Thursday's 50-42 shootout loss to Monarch High School of Coconut Creek, Fla., in the Broward County National Football Showcase. Coach John Adams’ Saints opened the season by holding on to beat Dutchtown 34-33.

Westlake (2-0) remained undefeated on Friday by beating Crisp County 50-12. The Lions, coached by Rico Zackery, beat North Cobb 52-28 in the opening game.

Cedar Grove defeated Westlake 30-20 in 2022.
