Recruiting Spotlight: Hughes QB Air Noland
Primary Content
The No. 5 quarterback in the country, Prentiss “Air” Noland, is leaving the Peach State and heading to Ohio in January. The Hughes senior is also the No. 3 QB and No. 5 overall player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite.
In 2022, Noland had a spectacular junior campaign leading the Panthers to a perfect 15-0 record and a Class 6A championship. He was one throw away from tying a Georgia single-season record with 55 touchdown passes. He was also an integral part in Hughes’ state finals run in 2021, as a first-time starter that season.
It’s obvious why he quickly caught the attention of many top college recruiters. He was able to narrow down his offers to seven in a tweet he posted in March. He ultimately decided to choose to commit to Ohio State and has great respect for head coach Ryan Day and quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis.
Find out more about Noland’s recruiting process and why he chose to commit to the Buckeye’s in an interview with GPB’s Hannah Goodin:
