GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. Here are our nominees for the week of October 23, 2023.

 

Jack Brenk, Denmark, LB, JR

Jack Brenk is a 6’0 200 LBS Linebacker at Denmark High School. The junior plays both inside and outside linebacker, his mid-season stats include: 26.5 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery. The Danes multi-sport athlete also runs tracks and is on the lacrosse team. He has a 3.5 GPA.

Carson Knowles, Lambert, LB/FB, SR

Carson Knowles is a 6'0 200 LBS Senior Inside Linebacker and Fullback at Lambert High School. The Longhorn four-year starter has shown his versatility on the field with his ability to play multiple positions. He has notched a total of 78 tackles, one interception, three and a half sacks, two pass break ups, and 11 quarterback pressures. Last year, hw received honorable mention as an Outside Linebacker. Knowles' athletic talents aren't just exclusive to football, as he had played both basketball and baseball for the Longhorns.

Outside of sports, he has a 3.75 GPA, and is currently talking to a few schools about offers.

Cameron Shelly, East Paulding, WR, SR

Cameron Shelly is a 5'9 155 LBS Wide Receiver at East Paulding High School. Ranked 2nd in Class 6A - Region 5 with 578 receiving yards. Shelly runs a 4.5 40, and his stats prove that his speed shines through on the field. He has 763 total yards, 683 all-purpose yards, 578 receiving yards, four receiving touchdowns, and one passing touchdown. The senior says he brings leadership, strength, speed, toughness, great athleticism, and a great football IQ to the sport. Off the field, he makes it count in the classroom by maintaining a 3.65 GPA, participating as a member of the National Spanish Honors Society, and serving in several leadership programs.

Landon Williams, Dade County, FB/LB, SR

Landon Williams is a 6'2 205 LBS Fullback and Linebacker at Dade County High School. With a total of 626 rushing yards (average of 104 yards), 53 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and three sacks, the senior is deserving of his All-State Football honors. Not only is he dynamic on the football field but is also a 2x State Wrestling champion and NHSCA National Finalist. He's received the Chattanooga Times Best of Preps Award two times over in both football and wrestling.

His hobbies are fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors related.

Jah Ross, Wayne County, ATH, SR

Jah Ross is a 5'9 170 LBS Athlete at Wayne County. The senior has multiple roles on the field as a running back, outside linebacker, and middle linebacker. He leads the Yellow Jackets in tackles and was awarded 1st Team All-Region Outside Linebacker last year. This year, he's continued to make a difference on the field, during his team's shutout game against Brooks County, he led his team in tackles. When he's not practicing or working, he volunteers in his community and maintains a 3.4 GPA.

Gianlucca Tiberia, Greater Atlanta Christian, RB/LS, SR

Gianlucca Tiberia is a 5'9 185 LBS Running Back and Long Snapper at Greater Atlanta Christian. In eight games played this season as a running back, he has 996 rushing yards on 116 carries with 125 yards per game and 11 touchdowns.  As a long snapper, he has five kick returns with 161 yards. With the will to make a difference in the game whenever he can, the senior's versatility on the field has contributed to his eight receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He has a 3.4 GPA.

Dean Massey, Westfield, LB, SR

Dean Massey is a 6'0 200 LBS Linebacker at Westfield High School. This season, the senior has 65 tackles, one forced fumble and two forced fumble recoveries. Massey is also on the wrestling team. Outside of sports, the dual sport athlete has a 3.2 GPA and loves to hunt.

Justin Lawyer, Allatoona, FS, SR

Justin Lawyer is a 6’0 185 LBS Senior Free Safety at Allatoona High School. He has recorded 68 tackles and six pass breakups through eight games. In his week 6 game against Creekview he had a season-high 18 tackles. Lawyer also runs track earning all-region accolades, as well as qualifying for sectionals in the 100,4x200, and 4x400 and advanced to state for the 4x400. He has a 3.2 GPA. When he has down time, he enjoys listening to music, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends.
