In the world of high school football, the recruitment process has changed.  There is an early signing day in December, players who complete high school early and move on to college, transfers who enter the portal, and National Signing Day in February. This complicated process is difficult to navigate.  In this episode, Jon and Hannah are joined by Colquitt County Head Coach Sean Calhoun to discuss the ups and downs of the recruitment process in 2024. Coach Calhoun had 17 players move on to the next level with 11 of those players signing on National Signing Day.

Definitely the biggest class that I've ever been involved in as as a head coach. We had six at the early signing period in December and had 11 this past Wednesday. So a total of 17, which I think is the second highest that we've ever had here in Packer football history. So it was it was something great. You know, outside of graduation, signing day is my most favorite day of the year. Just you truly see lives change, between these kids and these families and and, just, you know, so we. So it's a true, true celebration. And, there's a lot of community members and, you know, school personnel there. So it was it was a, special day for sure. — Colquitt County Head Coach Sean Calhoun
