Whitewater coach Chad Frazier won his 100th game on Friday when the Wildcats beat Troup 28-10.

Frazier is in his fifth season at Whitewater and has compiled a 30-18 record with one region championship.

He previously spent three seasons at Union Grove, going 16-14 from 2017-19, and four seasons at Villa Rica, where he was 17-24 from 2013-16.

He began his career at Heritage in Conyers and went 37-27 in six seasons from 2007-12 with the first region championship in the school’s history. That region championship team went 10-2 – the most wins in program history – and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.

Putnam County, Adairsville earn 400th win

Putnam County and Adairsville both reached the 400-win mark for their programs with victories on Friday night.

Putnam County defeated Haralson County 28-3, while Adaisville .

Putnam County: The victory was the first of the season for coach Joel Harvin’s team. Putnam County had opened with three losses – two of them to state-ranked Greene County and Morgan County – and were 0-3 for the first time since 2016.

The Eatonton school has been playing football since 1952 and have won eight region championships and one state title, that coming in 1967 under hall of fame coach Al Reaves.

Reaves spent 31 years at the school in two tenures – from 1964-80 and 1987-2000. His record was 199-137-5. He died in 2017.

Ironically, Putnam denied Haralson County a milestone, too. Haralson needs one victory to reach No. 200.

Adairsville: Coach Jon Cudd’s Tigers improved to 3-1 by beating Woodland of Cartersville 44-14. The team has won region titles and gone 18-5 in the first two seasons since Cudd became head coach.

Adairsville has been playing football since 1956 and has won 10 region championships. Six of those titles came in consecutive seasons (1968-73) under coach T.M. Tucker, who went 94-51-3 from 1966-79.

Eric Bishop spent nine seasons at the school (2013-21) and went 60-39. Johnny Gulledge went 50-370-1 from 1999-2006 and won region titles in 2000 and 2001.
